What is Integration HUB e.V.?

Integration HUB e.V. is a non-profit organization founded in Germany by Monis Bukhari through The Syrian House (Syrisches Haus) network. The organization focuses on supporting the social and professional integration of refugees and migrants into local communities.

Core Purpose

Integration HUB e.V. works to create community spaces where refugees, migrants, and locals can meet, access services, and develop projects together, aiming to strengthen social cohesion in diverse neighborhoods. The organization addresses practical integration barriers such as access to information, language, employment support, and social networks by concentrating services and activities in one accessible “hub” structure.

Activities and Approach

Communities & Connecting People:

  • Empowering communities by delivering all the information needed by refugees and migrants in Germany to design their own lives, following the local system
  • Building bridges between and within communities in Germany, using social media as communication tools
  • Organizing social events in German cities where locals and newcomers meet for shared activities
  • Connecting the media and newcomers in the service of integration

Mechanism & Supporting Infrastructure:

  • Providing physical spaces for work meetings, free and well-equipped with a quiet atmosphere, where refugees, initiatives, and volunteers can meet and exchange knowledge
  • Offering support with consulting, software, administration, and infrastructure to projects and initiatives that facilitate integration processes
  • Providing education by sharing knowledge through workshops, including live broadcasts
  • Working as a Think Tank to support rapid prototyping of solution statements created in society and transferring successful approaches into sustainable long-term solutions

⠀The Syrian House Network

The Integration HUB operates through The Syrian House (Syrisches Haus) network, which provided working spaces for many Syrian initiatives in Berlin, including:

  • Tanween Initiative: Supporting Syrian theatre and performance artists
  • DDSA (Germany Through Syrian Eyes): Creating positive images of the Syrian community in Germany
  • Syrian House Facebook Page: Streaming daily live videos offering instant information in Arabic
  • German Handbook (Handbookgermany.de): Managing content in multiple languages about life in Germany
  • Syria Mobile Films Festival: Organizing workshops and presenting films from Syrian filmmakers

⠀Leadership

Monis Bukhari, Executive Director and Founder, established Integration HUB e.V. as part of The Syrian House initiative. His work gained international recognition, including being featured in Mark Zuckerberg’s “Building Global Community” letter for his efforts in helping refugees find homes and jobs in Berlin.

Empowering the people of communities by delivering essential knowledge and information, managing the integration stream in networks in Germany, and providing blueprints for solutions being developed in other countries.
